First impressions are -not- everything; there have been studies that examine the processes of first impressions and what it takes to override them. It really is just time that allows for adjustment: getting to know and understand a person, their motivations, and what makes them tick. But trying to be fake and meet their expectations comes across as being fake. And in case you are wondering about my saying this based on my FB status, its not my opinion. I did qualify it with “if” :p, but I agree with you that first impressions aren’t everything. Thank God in some cases, there are some people when I met them they did not make a good impression on me, however as I got to know them, this opinion of them changed.
